Annual General Meeting Date Change
The AGM, previously scheduled for Thursday, March 18th has been cancelled due to COVID and rescheduled to May 20th, 2021 1–3 p.m.
The AGM is held to review the Society’s previous year’s finances and activities and elects new board members who will plan the future direction of the association.
Closer to the date, we will advise whether the meeting will be conducted in person or virtually and will ask you to notify us of your intent to attend. We need 25 members to attend to achieve quorum.

CLSA is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Since 1979, the Board of Directors has served as the strategic heart of our organization, ensuring that we provide a welcoming environment to seniors through quality programming, respond to changes in our community, and deliver on our commitment to enhancing the longevity and quality of life of our members through recreation, social, and educational opportunities.
Your role as a board member will include approximately 4–10 hours a month for meetings, special events and committee work.
Members with skills in business, law, human resources, finance, and education are encouraged to apply.

Tuesday, February 2, 2021 (Updated February 17)
In support of the public health measures by Alberta Health Services and the City of Edmonton, the facility currently remains closed to the public until further notice.
Our staff continues to work remotely but will be back in the office (with modified operating hours) for in-person and over-the-phone membership sales and program registration on March 29.
The Spring program guide will be available for viewing on our online registration system starting March 1st. Members without emails will receive their program guides through Canada Post.
Clubs/Circles are scheduled to begin on April 12 with courses starting on April 19.

2021 Membership Rollovers and Pricing
All valid 2020 memberships purchased from January to March last year have been automatically rolled over into 2021 memberships. Memberships and Reciprocal Memberships that were purchased from September to December will be credited to your account. Accepted rollovers will assume consent to the CLSA code of conduct and liability waiver.
New 2021 55+ memberships will be available for purchase online the week of March 29 for a pro-rated annual fee of $25, Under 55 memberships will be available at a pro-rated fee of $50, and Community Memberships (Reciprocal Memberships) will remain $5.
CLSA requests that members sign in to their online membership accounts prior to the spring session to confirm and update account information, including emergency contacts. If you purchased a Membership in 2020 your account has already been created for you.
An Important Note on Club Fees
Credits for club fees from 2020 have been issued to your “Wallet,” which can be found in your account on our online registration system. These credits will remain on your account until you decide to use them for next year’s membership or activity fees. If you would like a refund instead of a credit, please email refunds@CentralLions.org.

Before visitors can proceed to their activities, our volunteers or staff will ask screening health questions from the Attendance Consent Form each time they entering the building.
