To support the provincial public health measures and restrictions on indoor gatherings the Centre remains closed to the public until further notice.
The following adjustments have been made for 2021 Memberships:
All valid 2020 memberships purchased from January to March last year will automatically be rolled over into 2021 memberships. Memberships that were purchased from September to December will be credited to your account. Reciprocal memberships that were purchased will also be credited to your account.
New 2021 55+ memberships will be available for purchase in May for a pro-rated annual fee of $25, Under 55 memberships will be available at a pro-rated fee $50, and Community Memberships (Reciprocal Memberships) will remain $5.

The user-friendly registration system will reduce foot traffic in the building and provide members, volunteers, and staff with a safe and enjoyable experience.

To register for activities and circles you must have a valid 2021 CLSA Membership, which can be purchased over the phone 780–496–7369 or online through the registration system.
How to log in to the registration software
You can use our online system to confirm and update your account information, purchase or renew your membership, and register for Spring 2021 programs when registration resumes on May 17, 2021.
If you bought a membership in 2020, you are an Existing Active Member and your online registration account has already been created for you. If you have already successfully logged in, you can directly visit the registration site here.
Please Note: You must purchase a 2021 Membership before you can register for 2021 classes and circles at the Member Rate.
If you have never purchased a membership before, please call 780–496–7369 to have an account created for you (Desk hours Mon–Wed 10–2 p.m.).
If you have any trouble logging into the system, please let us know; sometimes it’s a simple typo on our end, or the name on the account is your birth name and not the name you use every day! It’s an easy fix. Please call 780–496–7369.
If you want to log into the registration system for the first time, follow these instructions:
Your account has already been created for you. Here are the steps to activate your existing account:

Under "I Forgot My Password," click "Click here to retrieve your Account Information"
Then enter your first name, last name, username (which is the email address you gave us when you fill out the membership forms)
Enter the security check and click on "Send Email"
Go to your Email account and find the email that was sent to you with the subject title "Account Lookup Request"
Please click on the link contained in the email message. You will be automatically logged on to the edit account page where you can select a new password.
Online registrations must be completed before the program start date.
You will need access to a printer if you wish to print out your conﬁrmations or your registration will be emailed to you.
Follow the instructions to complete your registration.
Payments must be made by credit card.

We are no longer using the City of Edmonton's RAMS / 311 / Move, Learn, Play system.
Telephone registrations must be completed before the program start date.
Program dates, times, instructors, and fees are subject to change.
Programs and club dates may be bumped for educational programming, facility maintenance, special events, emergencies, and bookings.
Any registration after the program start date must be completed in person at the Central Lions Seniors Recreation Centre. If in doubt of details, we recommend in-person registration.
Program fees will be conﬁrmed at the time of registration and must be paid in full. Participants are not considered registered until payment has been received.
Payment can be made using VISA, MasterCard, cheque, debit, or cash. Please make cheques payable to CLSA. Post-dated cheques are not accepted. Online registration is by credit card only.
Reciprocal Centre Members

Reciprocal members (i.e. those with memberships at any of our reciprocal centres) must register in person at Central Lions Seniors Centre to qualify for the members' rates on our programs. Proof of reciprocal membership is required.
Low Enrolment Policy
Did you know it is program policy to cancel classes one week prior to the start date if there are not enough registrations? Early registrations result in fewer cancellations and fewer disappointments. Help our staﬀ determine which programs have suﬃcient participants by registering early.
If minimum participant registration is not met, the program will be cancelled ﬁve business days prior to the start date. You will be notiﬁed by phone, and you will be oﬀered a credit toward another class. Read more about our course cancellation policy here.
Don’t delay—sign up today!
If the activity in which you wish to register is full, you can be waitlisted. If there is a free spot available, we will contact members in the order received on the waitlist.
We encourage early registrations so that we can make adjustments to scheduling if necessary. If there is suﬃcient interest run a second course/activity (and depending on instructor or room availability) CLSA may schedule a second time slot or move to a larger room to accomodate interest and physical distancing.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers
If it is necessary for CLSA to cancel a program, you will be notiﬁed prior to the program start date. In this situation, refunds or credits will be issued to your account. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment, extreme weather, instructor unavailability, and emergency facility maintenance.
Generally, no refunds or credits are given for programs, presentations, club, or Fitness Centre registrations unless cancelled by CLSA. In the event of an illness or injury, refund requests may be forwarded in writing to the CLSA Executive Director for review.
Transfer to another program is permitted (subject to availability) without penalty up to 15 days prior to the program start date. A $10 administration fee will apply if a transfer is requested 14 days or less prior to the program start date or if the program has started. If applicable, any credit balance will be refunded.
With winter being a significant feature of Edmonton life nine months of the year, CLSA members are reminded of our Severe Weather (Program Cancellation) Policy. CLSA Programs may be cancelled if the following conditions are met:
1. Edmonton temperatures are below -30 degrees celsius (not including wind chill) as per Environment Canada forecast for Edmonton.
2. Edmonton schools, either Edmonton Public or Edmonton Catholic, have cancelled their bus service for the day. (School bus cancellations are generally announced on local radio stations).
If in doubt, please phone Central Lions at 780–496–7369 for a recorded message. In the event of CLSA program cancellations due to severe weather, the building will remain open during regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
**Due to COVID-19, class previews are temporarily suspended until further notice.
If there is space available, any interested party can preview a program without having registered. This allows you to see if the level and experience in the class meets your needs. If you decide to do this, see our Front Desk first so we can ensure there is space in the class for you and so we can advise the instructor of your guest appearance.
After you preview the class, if you want to join, you will be required to register for the program. You will have to do so in person at our registration desk as all other registration options will no longer be available after a class has started.

Opinions expressed by program presenters do not necessarily reﬂect the views of the CLSA staﬀ or the CLSA Board of Directors.
All participants (member/non-member) must sign a waiver, and agree to abide by the CLSA Code of Conduct, before attending any CLSA programs, activities or special events.
CLSA is not responsible for injuries incurred during any program, club or other sponsored CLSA activity.
Terms and Conditions
There are no refunds for courses once classes have started. In the event of a medical issue, participants can request a credit towards another course by submitting a letter to the attention of the CLSA Executive Director.
Central Lions Seniors Association reserves the right to cancel courses at our discretion. We reserve the right to revoke membership to anyone not complying with our Code of Conduct.
