55+ Membership
Existing members can purchase their 55+ Membership in-person, over the phone, and online.
*If you are a NEW member, you must call 780-496-7369 to have your account set up by CLSA staff.
 
Eligibility: 55+ Years
Price: $40
Available for Purchase Dates: November 1, 2023
Valid Dates: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024
Description:
  • Full voting privileges at Annual General Meeting

  • Reciprocal member rates at participating seniors centres
Associate Membership
Purchase: In-person & over the phone
Eligibility: Residing at same address as 55+ Membership holder. For spouse/ partner aged 34–55.
Price: $65
Available for Purchase Dates: November 1, 2023
Valid Dates: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024
Description:
  • No voting privileges at Annual General Meeting
  • Member rates on CLSA programs and activities
Community Membership
Purchase: In-person only (​proof is required at time of registration)
Eligibility: You must be 55+, have a valid membership at a Reciprocal Seniors Centres, Queen Anne & Prince Rupert Community League Partners, or be a Minds in Motion Care Partner.
Price: $5
Available for Purchase Dates: November 1, 2023
Valid Dates: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024

Gold/Lifetime Membership
Purchase: In-person only
Eligibility: 85+ Years
Price: Free
Available for Purchase Dates: November 1, 2023
Valid Dates: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024
Description:
  • Full voting privileges at Annual General Meeting
  • Member rates on CLSA programs and activities
  • Reciprocal member rates at participating seniors centres
  • Must be a member for 3 consecutive years.
  • Must be renewed every year

Membership Cancellation Policy

​

Membership fees are not refundable nor transferable. 

​

Membership fees are based on a January to December timeline. 55+ and Under 55 Memberships can be purchased online. Community and Gold Memberships must be purchased in person at the Central Lions Recreation Centre

If you have a current, valid membership at any of the above centres, you CAN PURCHASE A RECIPROCAL CLAS MEMBERSHIP FOR ONLY $5. THIS MEMBERSHIP ENTITLES YOU TO MEMBER PRICING ON OUR PROGRAMS, CIRCLES AND ACTIVITIES.

 

RECIPROCAL MEMBERS MUST REGISTER IN PERSON AT CLSA, PROVIDING PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP FROM OTHER SENIORS CENTRE OR COMMUNITY LEAGUE PARTNER (Queen Mary Park & Prince Rupert Community League only).

Reciprocal memberships entitle you to all activities as a full CLSA 55+ Membership without voting privileges at the AGM.

Code of Conduct

CLSA believes in creating a positive community and strives to maintain a respectful, friendly, and supportive environment for members, staff, instructors, volunteers, and guests. To that end, CLSA applies the following Code of Conduct: 

Everyone will...
​

  • Be protective of the safety, security, well-being, and goodwill of others and the Centre as a whole. 

  • Refrain from participating in any action that seriously disrupts or disturbs the morale, efficiency, safety, or normal operations and activities of CLSA. 

  • Conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner in all interactions with others. CLSA does not tolerate inappropriate, abusive, or undesirable language or behaviour. 


Violations of this Code of Conduct will be dealt with in accordance with established CLSA procedures.

Contraventions of this Code of Conduct shall result in sanctions ranging from a verbal warning through to a revocation of membership or privileges, or expulsion from the Centre. It can also include criminal charges for those items covered by the law.
